Depicting the sunset or sunrise over a Michigan landscape in the Scenic Vellum glaze, this Plaque by Edward T. Hurley for Rookwood Pottery was originally part of the David and Katherine Glover Collection of the Cincinnati Art Galleries and retains its original frame.

This plaque is signed with artist's monogram in the lower left corner. The verso features impressed flame mark indicating date of production, in addition to two affixed labels, one noting the subject matter and the other referencing the Glover Collection.
