A rare version of the "Balance Weight" Desk Lamp produced by Tiffany Studios in the early 20th century, comprising of an 10-inch diameter blown and cased Tiffany Favrile Glass Shade, with an iridescent green wave and vertical feathered design, the lower horizontal border shade with a pulled a striated design over a purple background. An impressive green-brown patina. The shade is paired with an unusual and elaborate "Balance Weight" Desk Base, the "weight" in the form of a stylized tomato, decorated with stylized leaves on the foot, in a fine rich brown-green patina. Both the shade and base are signed.
